Canaveral National Seashore
Self-guided trails are located in the North District, near New Smyrna Beach and at Seminole Rest, located in Oak Hill.
Beach access exists at both the North District, Apollo Beach, near New Smyrna and the South District, Playalinda Beach, near Titusville. Lifeguards are on duty Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Accessible beach crossovers are found at the Eddy Creek Parking Area and #8 in the South District and Parking Area #1A and #5 in the North District. For the more rugged individual, backcountry camping is offered in the North District, both island and beach camping are available. Beach camping is closed from April 1st to November 1st due to sea turtle nesting.
Turtle Watches are available June and July. Park visitors can join a ranger and watch a loggerhead sea turtle nest on the beach. Reservations are taken in May for June programs and June for July Programs. Call 321-867-4077 or 386-428-3384 ext. 10 for Information about the programs.
Fishing piers are located at Parking Areas #7 and # 8 in the North District. In the South District, there is a fishing pier at Eddy Creek Parking Area.
A paved boat ramp to Mosquito Lagoon is located north of the Information Center. Primitive boat ramps to the lagoon are located at Parking Area #5 in the North District and at Eddy Creek in the South District.
Horseback riding is permitted from November 1 through April 30. A Special Use permit is necessary.
