Big Cypress National Preserve

FOR KIDS

Stop by the Oasis Visitor Center and pick up a newspaper. This informative guide describes the activities available at the four different South Florida National Parks. Theses four parks include: Big Cypress National Preserve, Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, and Dry Tortugas National Park. Click on the the link below to see our Big Cypress National Preserve winter-season ranger-guided programs. Also, don't miss the touch table at the Oasis Visitor Center, where you can touch an alligator skull and see panther tracks!

Junior Ranger Program

Our junior ranger program is CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. However, a new junior ranger program will be available this upcoming winter season. The South Florida National Parks (Big Cypress National Preserve, Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, and Dry Tortugas National Park) will have a joint Junior Ranger Program for kids who visit the parks. You can pick up a workbook at any visitor center and complete the activities for that park during your visit. Each park awards its own badge, and if you complete three out of the four programs, you'll also earn a patch from one of the parks. Once again, this new program is not available quite yet, but will be soon!
