Arkansas Post National Memorial

FOR KIDS

Imagine what Arkansas Post looked like as you walk through the old townsite area. View exhibits about the history of Arkansas Post in the visitor center. The park provides an excellent environment for observing wildlife in the delta region; come and watch for deer, bald eagles, alligators and more! The annual fishing derby for kids in June is a good chance to try your hand at catching the biggest catfish you can!

Junior Ranger Program

A Junior Ranger program is available for children ages 7 - 12. In order to become a junior ranger at Arkansas Post, you must: 1.) Tour the visitor center and watch the park film. 2.) Hike the nature trail and take a self-guided tour of the historic town site. 3.) Complete five activities in the Junior Ranger Workbook.
